Wool Pellet Fertilizer from Otter Lake Farm
Wool Pellet Fertilizer from Otter Lake Farm
Raw Wool Fertilizer Pellets made from wool from sheep farms in the Finger Lakes area. Raw Wool Fertilizer Pellets are just wool with whatever incidental manure and bedding may be in the wool. They also have a minimum NPK of 9-0-2. They can hold between 20%-30% of their weight in water, meaning that you may have to water plants a bit less often and they can help retain soil moisture in potted plants. Up to 50% of the weight of wool is carbon, which, when buried in garden soil, improves nutrient uptake by plant roots but also aids in improving soil tilth. Raw Wool Fertilizer Pellets break down in the soil and will slowly feed plant nutrients over a period of up to 6 months. After 6 months - 12, the wool pellets will be completely broken down in the soil. Add the Raw Wool Fertilizer Pellets to your garden beds annually to improve your soil each year.
