A smaller (but just as sweet) version of the asian persimmon, American persimmons are harvested in late fall when the soft, ripe fruit somewhat recalls the flavor of dates. The orange orbs hang from the tree long after leaf drop and remain a beautiful harbinger of winter. Persimmons are consumed fresh and are used to make puddings, cakes, and beverages. Our persimmon trees are grown here at our nursery from seed. These are 2-year old, 6” - 12” bare root seedlings available in Fall for shipping or local pickup. Bundle of 5 for $15.
