Celebrating our 6th year of seedling donations! Each spring our community donates Family Seedling Packs to families of students at Booker T. Washington Community Center in Auburn, NY. Your donation will help promote food justice, security and access to healthy, fresh vegetables for local families. Each pack provides 22 vegetable seedlings to a BTW family for planting in their own yard. In 2020 we started with 10 family packs and now we’re up to 40 packs each spring!

Packs are delivered to BTW Community Center in mid-May and distributed to the first 40 families who sign up for the program. Kids learn about gardening at the on-site BTW school garden and then take those skills home to their own backyards. Thank you for your support of healthy eating, gardening and food security in our community!

NOTE: You will be asked for your shipping address (the system defaults to this), however we will deliver seedling packs directly to BTW from our farm in May, where they will be distributed to families. Choose “Pick-up at Silver Tree” at checkout.

BTW is a not for profit agency which provides services to assist the community in promoting civil liberties, justice, and equality without regard to race, creed, color, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, disability, or socio-economic status by offering families and individuals recreational, educational, developmental, and cultural programs for all ages. BTW offers comprehensive academic and culturally enriching programming for youth in grades K-12.

EACH FAMILY PACK INCLUDES:

• 2 tomatoes (1 cherry, 1 full-sized heirloom)

• 2 peppers (1 sweet, 1 spicy)

• 2 rows onions (about 24 onions)

• 3 collards or kale

• 2 cucumber

• 2 basil

• 1 winter squash

• 1 summer squash
