Comfrey is an excellent polyculture plant that sends deep tap roots down into the soil and mines minerals us into its leaves, which can be cut completely down 2-3 times in a growing season and laid around other plants for mineral uptake. Comfrey flowers are also an excellent attractor of bees and its leaves can be used in a compress to help reduce bruising and swelling.
