We are offering various 1-year seedling chestnut trees, all grown in air-prune boxes so the plants grow good lateral branching roots instead of deep tap roots. They are either European, Japanese, or a mix of those two, with the exception of Whitten which is a European/American mix.

Badgersett 1-year seedlings came from their decades of research and selection and mixing so while we feel they are quite special we can't say what these trees will grow like.

If you choose the Bulk Mix option, we'll do our best to give you a diversity of the options we offer. If you'd like us to try toward a preference (no guarantees) please send us an email with you order.

We do have a handful of 2-3y/o seedlings that have already had their first coppice.
